20/04/23: intervention of M. Fernandez-Bertier at Abilways’ conference on the reform of the Belgian Criminal Code

The adoption of a new Penal Code in Belgium is fast approaching.

The objective of this Abilways hybrid seminar is therefore to give the participants an overview of the changes and novelties that this new Code will bring to the table, and to assess their practical consequences for companies in businesses in their daily operations.

In addition to moderating the conference, M. Fernandez-Bertier will discuss, at this occasion, new applicable financial penalties (including traditional fines, confiscation and punitive fines based on a multiplier of the criminal proceeds expected) and the interplay of criminal law and compliance.
